K1 Concepts, LLC, recently completed the design, development, launch, and training of a web-solution that facilitates collaboration between the Association's members and provide a means for member of the Association to acquire, manage, analyze and report on important water quality measurements. The Association includes eighty-three municipalities and all or part of twenty-four counties in North Carolina. The Yadkin/Pee Dee River basin is the second largest river basin in North Carolina, covering 7,213 square miles. The Association collects and manages a large number of water quality readings for over 75 monitoring stations in the river basin on a monthly basis. The site developed by K1 Concepts stores this data and provides tools for the Association to analyze trends in water quality as well as to generate reports required by regulatory agencies. As part of this solution, K1 Concepts developed a specialized tool to permit the Association to visualize trends in large numbers of data over long time periods. The web tool also includes all the administrative functions the Association needs to self-administrate the website, enabling them to operate it at a small cost without ongoing technical requirements. The Skanska USA Building Group commissioned K1 Concepts to develop a web presence to support Skanska's $150 million-plus program management activities at Duke University. K1 Concepts developed, hosts, and manages a collaboration website for the Duke Project group where the project team, subcontractors, the University's management team, and other interested parties can access a wide range of documentation for the project. This collaborative web includes an online plan room which holds over 3 GB of drawing files viewable with K1's http:Plan Room java viewer, online collaborative calendars, project information, K1's http:Bid Room e-commerce tools used to bid all of the program's materials and services, web cams, and administrative tools which enable Skanska to self-administrate the site. http://www.digitaldpg.com/ K1 Concepts' customer list includes the following organizations.
